Adobe Substance 3D Painter - Ribbon Path Showcases

Created for Adobe, this series showcases a new collection of ribbon assets for Substance 3D Painter. The brief was open: explore the team’s sets and show how fast, flexible and fun they are to use, including their ability to cut into and deform the mesh.

I wanted to bring some playfulness and explore less obvious uses. The washi tape gift decoration was inspired by my daughter’s birthday around the time.

I handled scene concepts, modelling, texturing, staging and video capture. Everything was captured directly in Painter, showing real workflows and live adjustments.

The materials, gloves and decorative screwdriver elements came from the Substance 3D Assets store. The ribbon sets (including stitching, nylon, rivets and tape) and the sports bag were created by the talented Substance 3D Assets team. I modelled the remaining scene assets, including the speaker, which was based on a design by the Substance team.

Thanks to Nicolas and the team for the opportunity to explore their work.
