Batman Arkham Knight - Mad Hatter popup book - Arkham Asylum
I had the great pleasure of creating Mad Hatter's popup book environment for Arkham Knight. This involved delving back into the Arkham series to try bring the essence of our games to each page.
This page is based on Arkham Asylum, it features the mansion as a backdrop to Mad Hatter's lyrical madness. It was really fun going back to Arkham Asylum and trying to boil it down into a cardboard stylized form with as many cameos as possible. To bring a bit more life to the scene I created idle paper animations for the environment, things like the moon traveling across the sky and Joker turning into Titan Joker etc. Most of this was inspired by some great "how to" popup books sitting on my desk. Had some great feedback from my lead Glen to inspire me through this environment.
-Modeling, texturing and animation of the environment and the collapsing page turn.
-Very grateful to have the help of the amazing Jody Sargent to create the environment outside the popup book while I was up to my eyes in paper! :)
